Order-type existence theorem for second order nonlocal problems at resonance

‎This paper gives an abstract order-type existence theorem for second order nonlocal boundary value problems at resonance and obtain existence criteria for at least two positive solutions‎, ‎where $f$ is a continuous function‎. ‎Our results generalize or extend related results in the literature and give a positive answer to the question raised in the literature‎. ‎An example is given to illustr...

Existence of positive solutions for a second-order p-Laplacian impulsive boundary value problem on time scales

In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for a second-order multipoint p-Laplacian impulsive boundary value problem on time scales. Using a new fixed point theorem in a cone, sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions are established. An illustrative example is also presented.

Solvability of a Second-order Multi-point Boundary-value Problems at Resonance on a Half-line with Dimker L=2

We show the existence of solutions for a second-order multi-point boundary-value problem at resonance on a half-line, where the dimension of the kernel of the differential operator is 2. Our main tools are the coincidence degree theory due to Mawhin, suitable operators, and algebraic methods. Our results are illustrated with an example.

Solvability for Second-order M-point Boundary Value Problems at Resonance on the Half-line

In this article, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for second-order m-point boundary-value problems at resonance on the half-line (q(t)x′(t))′ = f(t, x(t), x′(t)), a.e. in (0,∞), x(0) = m−2 X i=1 αix(ξi), lim t→∞ q(t)x′(t) = 0. Some existence results are obtained by using the Mawhin’s coincidence theory.

Solvability of boundary value problem for second order impulsive differential equations with one-dimensional p-Laplacian on whole line

The motivation for the present work stems from both practical and theoretical aspects. In fact, boundary value problems on the whole line arise quite naturally in the study of radially symmetric solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations modelling various physical phenomena such as unsteady flow of gas though a whole, porous media, and the theory of drain flows. The asymptotic theory of ordinary...
